A pair of strangers in Fairhaven, Mass happened to be driving by Jackson's Variety during their morning commute and saw that the building was on fire. Colleen Jackson was scared that her wheelchair bound, 83 year-old father would perish if somebody didn't get him down from the apartment above the store. Before firefighters arrived, Ron Rock and Butch Beauparland ran into the building, up the stairs, and got the old man out. Fire chief, Timothy Francis said they clearly made a difference but did caution, "we don't advise you going into house fires."
