A Canadian man who took a city bus full of passengers for a joyride earned himself a criminal charge, as well as a thumb's up from a very impressed police department.

The Hamilton Police Department says the real driver briefly stepped off the bus for a quick break when a 36-year-old homeless man climbed on board and drove away. There were about a dozen passengers on board at the time, but they had nothing to worry about because the man made all the stops. He actually let passengers on and off at each stop. In fact, one person tried to board with an expired bus pass and he refused to let him on.

Police eventually caught up to the bus and calmly placed the man under arrest. A police spokesperson later told the media, "There was not a ding on the bus. He did a great job. It's comical but at the same time it's serious. We're thankful nobody was hurt."
