Health Experts Reccomend Precautions Ahead Of New Year's Parties

Local Health Departments are asking people to take precautions during the holiday season to make sure they don't spread a virus.

Officials say people celebrating over the holidays should take steps in preventing the spread of common respiratory viruses.

Doctors say if you plan to see people for New Year's or attend other gatherings and begin to feel sick, stay home and avoid putting others at risk.

Anyone that experiences flu-like symptoms such as a stuffy nose, sore throat or fever should stay home for at least 24 hours after symptoms begin going away.
