It was 25 years ago Sunday that Holyoke Police Officer John DiNapoli was shot and killed in the line of duty.
Members of the Holyoke Police Department laid a wreath at the DiNapoli Monument outside of Police Headquarters.
DiNapoli was assisting other officers when he was shot and killed.
The gunman is serving life in prison without the possibility of parole.
