Lamont: Toll Bill Bad For Tourism, Bad For Residents

A proposal by Worcester state Senator Robyn Kennedy to place tolls on the state's borders is not sitting well with one of those border states.

Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont says he obviously thinks it's a bad idea, and it would not help promote tourism between the states.

Lamont also says he speaks regularly to Governor Maura Healey, who previously said that she's not in support of border tolls.

After learning of the proposal, Connecticut Senate Republicans issued a statement urging Lamont to fight what would be a tax on that state's residents.
