Western Mass Ready To Celebrate St Patrick's Day

Irish eyes are smiling all over Western Massachusetts as St Patrick's Day celebrations are well underway.

Parties are planned all throughout the day with restaurants and pubs prepared to serve lots of corned beef and cabbage.

It is also a big bar day and police throughout the area are asking people to party responsibly and for women to make sure they can account for their drinks at all times.

There have been instances throughout the state of unattended drinks being spiked leaving victims groggy and uncertain of their surroundings.

Among the festivities are Hampden County District Attorney Anthony Gulluni's annual party at the John Boyle O'Reilly Club.

And the weekend events end with the Holyoke St Patrick's Parade in Holyoke which is expected to draw more than 300 thousand people.
