Scholastic Gets A Novel Redesign

The Scholastic HQ in New York, the world's largest educational publisher and distributor of children's books, and home of Harry Potter, Clifford, the Magic School Bus and more, got a novel redesign thanks to Pentagram.

From fuzzy portraits of Clifford the Big Red Dog, to a larger-than-life sculpture of Captain Underpants breaking through a wall, Pentagram and art director Paula Scher incorporated iconic characters from a number of Scholastic most popular series.

As Pentagram notes on its website:

The installations integrate the characters into the architecture in a variety of materials and media, utilizing artworks and text from Scholastic books and publications in an artistic way so that the space feels vibrant, witty and joyful.
