In the small German town of Rinteln, the Jeromin family has transformed their home into a dazzling Christmas wonderland with 605 decorated trees, setting a new world record. The trees, decorated with 120-thousand ornaments, 50-thousand lights, and countless festive figurines, fill almost every room of the house except the bedroom and their daughter's room. The family finds joy and relaxation in creating this sparkling spectacle, which has earned them the title of record-holders from the Record Institute for Germany.
This isn’t the first time the Jeromins have held the record—they’ve achieved it six times before, most recently with 555 trees in 2021. This year, they pushed their creativity even further, filling every corner, wall, and ceiling space with Christmas cheer. "It's simply beautiful," said Susanne Jeromin, adding that the vibrant display brings them happiness, though they find it bittersweet when the lights finally turn off.
