Hot Season Is a Thing, And It's Over

Apparently Labor Day is the official end of hot dog season. According to the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council, hot dog season begins on Memorial Day and ends on Labor Day. Americans typically consume 7 billion hot dogs during hot dog season -- that’s 818 hot dogs eaten every second. And it seems people in Los Angeles eat more hot dogs than any other city (about 30 million pounds), beating out New York and Philadelphia.
