Chris Suljak was mowing the backyard of his suburban St. Louis home when he saw an alligator there.
Suljak said Bi-State Wildlife Hotline sent a rescuer to his home who took the gator off in a cage. He later found out the alligator belongs to a neighbor a few miles away and it had been missing for two weeks.
BTW, yes, it's legal to keep an alligator as a pet in Missouri.
