A Buzz Lightyear toy left behind by a toddler on a flight was returned by Southwest Airlines after the astronaut’s high-flying adventure. Ashley Davis says her two-year-old son, Hagen, left Buzz on the plane when they landed in Dallas, but she didn’t realize it until they reached their rental car. Luckily, the action figure had Hagen’s name written on it and an employee used that to reunite him with his owner.
A ramp agent named Jason spotted Buzz and Hagen’s name and he was able to look up the only passenger with that name who traveled that day. He made it his mission to get Buzz back to the boy and went “to infinity and beyond” to make it happen. A few days later, the toy was back at the family’s California home, arriving in a decorated box with a letter describing his “mission” and photos to show it.
“To Commander Hagen,” it reads, “I am very excited to return to you upon completing my mission. I was able to explore the airport and spaceport in Little Rock, Arkansas, while I was away and I have included photos of my adventure.” The grateful mother says it means the world to them that someone took the time to do this for their son and she calls Jason’s act of kindness “absolutely amazing.”
