WATCH: First Covid Vaccine Worldwide Goes to Sweet Old Lady in the UK

The UK is beginning a mass vaccination campaign against COVID-19 today – the first to get it? Margaret Keenan. Dubbed ‘Patient A’ the 90-year-old woman hailing from Northern Ireland became the first person in the world to receive the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine outside of a clinical trial.

Up next, the British government says front-line health workers, home care workers and people over the age of 80 will be the first to roll up their sleeves. Prime Minister Boris Johnson called it one of the biggest civilian logistical efforts England has ever faced.

British newspapers hailed it as "V Day" and a historic moment. The UK has more than one-point-seven million confirmed coronavirus cases and more than 61-thousand deaths.
