New Dating App Connects People During In a Coronavirus World

Tinder Co-Founders Sue Former Parent Company For $2 Billion

Millions of Americans stuck at home are still looking to connect. Now there’s a new dating app made especially for these times:

Quarantine Together is text-based and has a unique format. It sends users a message every day at 6pm to ask whether they’ve washed their hands. When they answer yes, they’re introduced to another user by text. No photos, bios to check out first. The only thing they know about each other is names. After 20 minutes, the matched users are offered a link to video chat.

It may sound crazy (it definitely sounds crazy), but it could help fight the boredom and loneliness of being cooped up at home. And as one hopeful Quarantine Together user puts it, “This time might be the best time in history to find love.”
