Food Coming Into the House Should Be Sanitized

Groceries or a take-out meal, food and its packaging should be handled with care and disinfected before it’s put away in your home while the world grapples with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

Jeffrey VanWingen, a doctor at Family Medicine Specialists in Grand Rapids, Michigan, created a 13-minute video to show everyone how to bring food into their homes as safely as possible. Another helpful tip is to take food you don't need right away and leave out of rotation and don't touch it or use it for a day.

These precautions can make a real difference in your home. It's time consuming, but I heard you may have a little extra time on your hands anyway.!

Also, if you don't have wipes or spray try some rubbing alcohol or good old soap and water!
