SPS Expands Identity Protection After Cyberattack

Springfield Public Schools is expanding identity protections following last month's cyberattack.

SPS says investigators recently confirmed that some employees hired before 2008 had their Social Security numbers exposed.

The district plans to send notification letters to those who may be impacted in the coming weeks.

They also plan to set up an online form for any former employees, volunteers, and contractors who believe they could be affected but didn't receive notification.
