A federal appeals court has ruled President Trump cannot implement his executive order tightening mail-in voting regulations.
The Boston-based first Circuit Court of Appeals on Saturday rejected the administration's request to lift an injunction several Democrat-led states secured on June 25th.
The Department of Justice had argued that any lawsuit challenging the order was premature as no agencies had finalized actions or policies.
The appeals court in a two to one ruling rejected that argument.
