Bradley International Airport doesn't expect to close if the partial government shutdown continues.
Officials say the shutdown hasn't impacted TSA operations at Bradley, and "while the situation remains fluid," they don't anticipate closure.
The TSA's acting deputy administrator warned that the federal government may have to close smaller airports due to growing staffing shortages at airport security checkpoints and travelers experience lengthy wait times.
This is now the third shutdown in less than a year to leave TSA workers temporarily unpaid.
