Snow Mounts Up In Western Mass After Monster Storm

At least 13 people are dead across five states as a brutal winter storm pummels much of the nation. There are no reported storm related fatalities in Massachusetts or Connecticut.

Most flights scheduled to depart today are already canceled due to the snowstorm. Flight tracking data shows nearly 60 percent of Monday departures were called off by Sunday night, following a day when about two-thirds of flights were canceled. Bradley International Airport in Connecticut is also seeing widespread cancellations.

Plow crews are still out on the roads today cleaning streets of the light fluffy snow. Parking bans remain in effect for the listening area.

Snow totals are still in flux. Any snow that we get will be added to what we already have:

Ludlow 19 inches

Agawam 18 inches

Westfield 16inches

Springfield 16 inches

West Springfield 15

Chicopee 15 inches

Holyoke 15 inches

East Longmeadow 14 inches

Police are warning residents to stay out of the way of the plowing effort. They are promising to tag and tow cars that impede the plow effort.
