State Audit Finds More Violations at Holyoke Soldiers' Home

An audit released this week is exposing more issues at the Holyoke Soldiers' Home.

The report found nurses were not performing regular wellness checks, and the facility lacks electronic health records.

Also, emergency drills and plans weren't properly conducted or posted.

More than 70 residents died at the soldier's home during the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak.

State Auditor Diana Dizoglio is calling on the attorney general to appoint an independent lawyer to continue the investigation.
