Open Burning Season Begins, but Not in Springfield

Officials are reminding Springfield residents that open burning is not allowed in the city.

Open burning season began yesterday in the state but it's not allowed in several "densely built or populated cities and towns."

Other western Mass cities where you can't open burn are Chicopee, Holyoke, and West Springfield.
