Interstate 190 in Worcester was closed for hours as police pursued a homicide suspect.
The incident took place yesterday afternoon in the area of the East Mountain Street interchange.
The unidentified man is alleged to have shot and killed one person in a nearby home.
The man then tried to hijack a car at gunpoint as a get-away vehicle.
When police confronted the man - it appears he took his own life.
The suspect is believed to be responsible for a shooting on Heroult Street that happened before his arrest, and that victim later died at the hospital.
More details are expected later today.
