On February 23rd, during a flight from Taipei to Bangkok, Thai pilot Jakarin Sararnrakskul became a hero when he responded to a woman going into labor mid-flight. Hearing the commotion, the pilot left the cockpit, leaving his co-pilot in charge, and assisted in the delivery of the baby.
With the help of the flight attendants, Captain Jakarin was able to assist in the birth, leading to a successful outcome for the new mother and her baby girl, who was fittingly nicknamed "Sky.” The pilot's quick thinking and calm demeanor were instrumental in ensuring the safe delivery of the baby mid-flight.
Despite the unexpected circumstances, the pilot and cabin crew displayed excellent teamwork, working together efficiently to safely bring the newborn into the world. When they landed in Bangkok, paramedics met the plane and confirmed that both mother and baby were in good health.
