Most kids love making their wish lists for the holidays to tell Santa and the grown-ups in their life exactly what they want. And as parents, we appreciate knowing the things they actually want so we’re not guessing and getting things they’ll be disappointed to unwrap on Christmas morning. But one mom has found her daughter went a bit overboard with her Christmas list this year and she may be aiming way too high with her requests.
Sara Foster took to TikTok to share her 11-year-old’s list, captioning her video, “This is what failing as a parent looks like.” While it can be helpful to have a list to work from, this tween’s is a little unrealistic. Foster writes, “My 11-year-old is apparently 35,” and the items she asks for definitely seem, um…mature? While the mom thought it was “cute” at first, as the list started with a couple of Brandy Melville outfits, it continues on for three pages of high-end designer items, including:
Dior addict lip glow oil
Miss Dior perfume
Marc Jacobs perfume
A new iPad
And a mini Prada shoulder bag
As Foster goes through the list in the clip, she posts, “When I was 11, I asked for a fricking Cabbage Patch Doll” on the screen. She also questions where the list is coming from and why her not-yet-teenage daughter is asking for these items. The video has gone viral with over 320-thousand views and lots of people have commented on the girl’s good taste in gifts:
“You’re in so much trouble when she’s 16,” writes one user.
“To be fair, you can’t go wrong with the Dior lip oil,” points out another.
“I too would like a mini Prada shoulder bag,” comments a third.
“She’s on TikTok too much,” another suggests as the place the girl is getting her ideas from.
