Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Return To Los Angeles After Coronavirus Diagnoses

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are back in the States!

The couple was recently photographed driving in Los Angeles, with Tom behind the wheel, more than two weeks after they were both diagnosed with coronavirus while in Australia.

Tom and Rita were briefly hospitalized down under before being released into isolation. The two were the first major celebrities to announce that they'd tested positive for the coronavirus.

On Sunday (March 22), Tom shared an update on their recovery, telling fans on social media: "Hey, folks. Two weeks after our first symptoms and we (Rita Wilson) feel better. Sheltering in place works like this: You don’t give it to anyone - You don’t get it from anyone. Common sense, no? Going to take awhile, but if we take care of each other, help where we can, and give up some comforts...this, too, shall pass. We can figure this out. Hanx."

The actors were in Australia for work as Tom was filming Baz Luhrmann’s untitled Elvis Presley biopic. Filming for the movie was halted following the revered actor's diagnosis. Tom is the only person on set believed to have tested positive for the virus, according to a representative from the film in Australia, per People.

It is not yet known if the couple tested negative before returning to the US.
