Did Kim Kardashian Push Back Her Perfume Release Because Of Taylor Swift?

April 26 is back to being Taylor Swift's day!

Kim Kardashian appeared to gracefully bow out of the alleged reignited feud between her and T-Swift after the 38-year-old reality star released a statement saying she no longer has plans to drop her KKW FRAGRANCE X KYLIE on its scheduled release date of April 26, which also happened to be the same day Taylor's reportedly set to release new music.

While many have claimed Kim's last-minute decision to delay her perfume release was due to backlash that followed her launch announcement earlier this week — Swifties attacked her on social media for choosing the same day as Taylor to release a new product — the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star blamed "manufacture" issues on her perfume's indefinite delay.

"We are so excited to launch our fragrance collaboration that we’ve been working on for such a long time. Sadly, we found out today from the manufacturer that a few of our bottles did not pass durability tests while on the assembly line and we have paused production while the team explores the issue further," Kim explained on her Instagram Story Wednesday (April 17). "Together, we have made the difficult decision to delay the launch as we would not release a product that did not meet the strictest of quality guidelines."

She added: "We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we have a new launch date! Thank you for your understanding and support always. Love, Kim & Kylie."

As previously reported, Kim announced on Monday (April 15) that her new perfume collaboration with her sister Kylie Jenner was set to launch on April 26, causing an uproar in Taylor's fan base.

See, Taylor announced last week that she was releasing something huge, something great, something life-changing — seemingly new, long-awaited music, — on April 26 and she even launched an entire website with a countdown to mark the big occasion. So, when Kim announced the impending arrival of her new perfume just days after Taylor dropped her countdown to April 26, let's just say Swifties weren't too happy about that. So much so, Taylor fans began commenting on Kim's perfume announcement, accusing her of trolling Taylor and reigniting their old beef. (Who could forget their "Famous" song drama back in 2016?)

"You guys so [decided] to launch it on the day Taylor Swift relases [sic] her new single. Do you really have nothing else to do other than trying to steal her spotlight. I mean, there are sooo many other dates...," one T-Swift fan wrote.

Another added: "hmm.... April 26? the same day as Taylor’s Swift’s announcement. THIS IS WHY WE CANT HAVE NICE THINGS :/ (would put a rat, but rats are nice, sweet animals who don’t deserve to have people have them)."

But, all's well that ends well since April 26 is back to being Taylor's big day.
