The Voice contestant and Longmeadow native Brynn Cartelli answers MIX 93-1 listeners' questions!
Besides making friends for life, what is your favorite thing out there?
"Definitely working with Kelly. She is one of my biggest inspirations. And I couldn't have asked for a better mentor at the beginning of my career."
You cried for the first time that we saw. I'm assuming that hitting the finale made it real.
"It was definitely very real to me that I was here, I was moving on. I was one step closer to winning."
"It was kind of scary. I never imagined that I'd be here. I'm just so grateful."
"It was really emotional. And I was really hoping that my friends would make it through as well."
What advice has Kelly given you that you would share with other young artists?
"Kelly and I talk a lot about how in the industry, there's a lot of people out there that aren't really cool. And it's awesome to be a good musician, but it's more important to be a good human and have good morals, and do things for the right reasons."
"If you're here for the wrong reasons, if you're trying for the wrong reason, it's not going to work out."
"If you want to pursue something, pursue it.... If you're doing it for the fame, if you're doing it for the money, I wouldn't do it."
