Whether you're paying rent or paying off your mortgage, we'd all love for things around the house to be a little bit cheaper.
But one woman from the US who tried to get her rent payments lowered has found her method didn't quite go to plan, as it turned out her landlord wasn't remotely interested in flirting with her, the Daily Star reports. Penny McNatt revealed on her TikTok account, @penny_mcnatt, that she got in touch with her "cute" landlord over text messages when she contacted him about a faulty tap in her kitchen - and thought she could lure him in with a cheeky selfie.Sharing her " flirting fail " in the text messages, the 25-year-old mum-of-twotold her landlord: "Hey, my faucet in the kitchen is acting up again."

The homeowner quickly asked Penny to "send a picture of it" so he could properly assess the problem, and the woman was eager to comply by sending him a photo of herself pointing to the tap.
Her landlord then asked for a "close-up", and Penny saw her opportunity to charm him with her beauty - and sent him a close-up selfie that showed off her smile.
But things didn't go according to plan, and instead of swooning over Penny's looks, her landlord was less than impressed by her antics, as he replied: "Of the faucet, not you..."
Penny tried to 'play it cool' when she was turned down. She had initially tried to charm him with her smile.
The woman had no choice but to play it cool, as she then told her landlord: "Oh yeah, my bad."
Penny's video has since gone viral with more than 8.1 million views, and commenters shared the woman's pain as they noted their own "secondhand embarrassment" while watching the clip.
